Birds Birds Non-BIF Thread - Post Your Shots Here

Female Pied Flycatcher. This was in Spain last week, where the birds are stopping over on the way to South Africa for Winter. Sadly no males around, as they are much bigger and black/white, hence the Pied name.

As the time for Ruby-throated Hummingbirds to begin their migration, I am seeing regular visitors to my feeders. Three were chasing each other yesterday and I got shots of them guarding their territory. This first one was in an oak tree about 20 feet or so away.

This one perched in a holly bush just three or four feet from the feeder.

View attachment 67204I've rarely seen shots of them sitting. Nice
