A trip to Snettisham on Saturday, to witness the largest flock of birds in the UK being forced into land by the tide. The tide wasn't as high as expected, and so they weren't pushed close, which may have helped me being stuck at 200mm minimum, but still amazing to see and hear. The sound of 90000+ pigeon sized birds taking to the air and murmurating is incredible. The birds are mainly Knot and Oystercatchers (the bigger of the birds here). Hoping to go back next month for the last chance to see this as this only happens when there is a high spring tide.
