interesting until you posted this I always thought buzzards and vultures were the same bird. So I looked it up and here in North America when europeans came here the turkey vulyure they saw here reminded them of the buzzards from home, so that is where the confusion came from. Very different looking birds actually

Yep I think you guys over the pond have different name for these birds
