This was the exact opposite of my recent experience wiht the Heron and snake. Too much lens, too little distance. We were walking into the Reserve when my wife spotted a cattle Egret walking along the hedge outside. It was very tame for an Egret and I simply couldn't get far enough away. Anyway, we wlked ahead of it a few metres and tracked it approaching. It was at this stage, I observed what it was doing......
This is where 30 frames per seconds really does pay dividends.
There will be more cattle Egret shots to follow, just had to get these two up quickly.
