Hi, folks, I have a Sony AR7IV, and I was shooting deep sky astro with my sont 200-600mm lens. I had some great images of the orion nebula, but when I tried to capture dark frames (ie shooting with lens cap on ), I would get a solid white flashing oblong (the size of the sensor I assume), it just wouldn't capture any dark frames. Any idea what I am doing wrong - is there a setting Ii have got wrong, or just user error
.
This was my first attempt at deep sky photography and with this combination, my previous experience at astro is "normal asto" with 25mm fast lens, both panos and stacking, including dark frames - all worked OK. So I must be doing something wrong. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks Paddy
