Only recently I manage to get a shot a little like this and with the speckled feathered look on the female.
I like it.

The light was just right, and I noticed, for the first time, the emerald/jade green of their eyes.

When viewed at a distance, they're not much to look at, but in the right light, there's a lot to appreciate.

This looks like what we call here in Australia as the Little Black Cormorant.
So I will post a shot to show you how close they look.
