25 years ago, I had the good sense to pick the small lot at the end of the street for my home. Next to me is a 'community lot' that will never be built upon and is mostly field grass (mowed weekly by the HOA) with a smattering of trees and brush at the edges. It gives the neighborhood kids a safe place to play ball, pitch a tent or just have fun. It also gives the local critters a place to call home. Tonight, I was happy to see the inaugural appearance of our neighborhood rabbits! Can little ones be far behind? My fingers are crossed!
