A couple months ago I took a trip to Pungo National Wildlife Refuge in Eastern NC. I had some amazing encounters with over 30 black bears. Here are a couple shots from my trip!

Awesome. This looks close to Alligator River NWR which i'm going to visit on my next surf trip to the Outer Banks. Good to know about all the black bears there!

Yea it’s about an hour from Alligator River. I have been to both but definitely seen more bears and other wildlife at Pungo.
