I rarely take photos of people, so today, I stepped out of my comfort zone as I took a walking tour through a community artists' showcase.

This lovely person said, "Who'd want a picture of me, an old boot."

I was surprised how many people seemed pleased to have their photo taken.

And some struck a pose and took a little direction

I had a ball and developed a further respect for the FE PZ 16-35 MM F4 G.

I'm always shy about asking people to pose, as I think they will oppose but it seems like you met some friendly people there.

It's a beautiful reportage of the fair, maybe you should contact the organizers in case they want to share the pictures, they are so welcoming. Good work! Sometimes it pays off stepping out of your comfort zone.

Also the 16-35 wouldn't be my first choice for portraits but in this case it was a good option to show each artisan and their creations.

Very nice pics! As a shopaholic, I do like a nice crafts fare :)

Some craftspersons are hostile to photography, suspicious of people stealing their ideas. I was at a jewellery trade fare once, and made the mistake of asking one lady how she made something! I convinced her that I was the most amateur of amateur jewellers, and more like just a guy with a great interest in the means and processes of jewellery, and we then had a nice chat. She told me that, yes, giving away the trade secrets was indeed a bad idea, and that many people came looking for new ideas to copy. I hadn't realised. And no, she didn't tell me her secret :)
