It suits my needs, though I can very easily see why many of the forum members want even longer reach for bird photography. Since birds are not my usual subjects, this lens has been a fantastic "jack of all trades" zoom for zoo visits and back yard sight seeing.I can't wait to take it to F1 next year. That's really why I bought it. But in the meanwhile, I'll continue practicing on random subjects.
