So Godox has announced a new flash unit, presumably replacing the V1 Pro. The V100 can work with the A9 III, all the way up to 1/80000 (not HSS). And it can do 70-100 full power flashes on one battery charge.
Looks like third party flashes can now do what the Sony units can. But unlike the Sony units (which still take AA batteries) this one uses a chunky LiIon battery. Apparently the same one as the V1 Pro, which is nice for people who have one of those.
