I went out specifically to see if I could find this bird today, as it had been reported a few times fairly local (20 minute drive) to me. Thankfully (for once!) it out in a fine appearance, albeit at distance, so heavy crops (4.4mb or so) on these, but a lifer bird for me, so well happy. For those interested, only 100 or so come to the UK in Autumn/Winter, and they are also known as The Butcher Bird, as they impale their prey (birds, mammals) on thorns or barbed wire as a larder to return to.

Great photos, Kev. Do you use Gigapixels AI to bump the MP back up?
