Welcome!
I found myself in the same situation 2 years ago: I only had the a6400 for a month before going to Japan for a "bucket list trip". I was a complete newbie but I thought that I could master Manual mode on the trip. Terrible mistake. I have over a thousand pictures but only a few dozen pictures were good.

Some advice:
  • Watch all the youtube tutorials you can, but start taking your own pictures for practice.
  • If Manual mode is a bit intimidating, there is nothing wrong with shooting on Aperture Priority mode.
  • If you are not experienced with editing RAW photos, change your settings to take JPG+Raw; you will be able to use the JPG as an example of how to edit your RAW photos in your chosen editing program

How long do you have before the trip?

Another way is "AUTO" or "SCN". Good results guaranteed. Aim, frame, shoot. Done.
