Hello, my name is Joe Zuffoletto and I will soon be an Alpha Shooter. After shooting Nikon my entire adult life, I have sold my Nikon equipment and am awaiting the arrival of my A7 RV and lenses, which should arrive over the next couple of days.
I’ve always loved my Nikons (I still have two old film cameras), but my Nikon D850 rig was just too big and heavy for my 60-year-old butt to haul around. The A7 is much smaller and lighter, especially with the 40mm prime, which means I’ll carry it around more and capture more images. After weeks of research and deliberation, I decided I preferred the Sony to the equivalent Nikons.
I took up photography as a hobby back when I was 13 years old. In high school I took two years of vocational photography and became very handy in color and black & white darkrooms. I look back very fondly on those days. Nowadays I use Lightroom Classic… how things have changed.
I’m quite colorblind, so I prefer to shoot in B&W. I enjoy shooting landscapes and street photography.
I look forward to interacting with all of you as I make the transition to Sony. Thank you for welcoming me, and Happy Holidays!
