Grey Heron

I had an hour at the local pond yesterday, just needed to get out! This Heron, not a regular there, proved worth the visit.

Great shots Kev! How close were you here? Definitely much closer than I got to a local heron on Friday, it was a good 50m away from me so the shots were pretty poor. I'll have to dress up in my fish costume next time!

Cheers Tim. Probably only 10m at most. The council built a walkway across the lake a few years back and then tried to create a reedbed in an enclosed circle of blocks. It never took, but the Cormorants love it. This guy was among them yesterday.
