Hawai'i wildlife etc.

Since I did not want to hijack 'Rosy-faced Lovebirds' thread, I post my picture about Hawai'i here.
At the time, I was still doing mostly travel photography and just started out with wildlife, which shows in the quality of the pictures.
All three birds are non-native and seemed not to have a negative impacted on the environment.

All of those birds have one thing in common over their native cousins, they like feeders.

I have to show at least one native animal. The Hawaiian Monk Seal is on the endangered list and the Hawaiians are very protective of them. They close part of the beach whenever a seal is present, especially a mother with her pup. I took this photo (behind a fence) a few days before the mother abandoned her pup. Monk seal mothers are tough on their kids. "If you reached my size, I am out of here." Pup is on the left.
