Hi everyone, I'm Paul from the UK (Northumberland) - just starting out on my Sony journey/
I started out with Pentax SLRs in the 35mm film days and when the time came to go digital I stuck with Pentax as I had compatible lenses already. I stuck with Pentax for several years and built up a collection of lenses and other kit which made it hard to switch. Mostly interested in wildlife photography but had a dabble with all sorts.
This year though I had a bit of a cash windfall and decided to make the switch to Sony to go full-frame. I wanted to keep some money for lenses so opted for the A7 II rather than the III which was the current model at the time.
I'm finding it quite a learning curve moving from a body with physical dials and switches for every function with the Pentax K3II, to the Sony where almost everything is hidden in menus or anonymous sounding buttons like "C2", but I'm seriously impressed with the image quality.
Just starting to get to grips with things a bit more through practice, but wanted to join a community of experienced Sony photographers.
Looking forward to joining in the discussions.
