My first Sony camera (a7iv), have shot Canon, and most recently Nikon (d750, so at least it had a sony sensor, haha) I'm glad to be twisting the lens the correct direction again to mount and dismount, Nikon users will know what I mean! (that drove me nuts!) :) Enjoying the camera so far, hope you all have a great day!

Welcome to the Forum, Charles. What part of the Country do you come from?

Welcome! I had to chuckle when seeing the comment about the way to turn the lens...... As a former Nikon user through many years, it took me a while to adjust to the Sony Way of putting my lenses on and removing them! LOL! Finally after about a year muscle memory set in......

LOL! Yeah, I hear that. I was a mechanic for quite a few years, plus after using mostly Canon cameras before my Nikon, it messed with my head every time I changed lenses. Wondering if any other cameras are like Nikon in that way or are they the only one? I think they missed their chance with the new Z-mount system they could have corrected that!! Haha.. (as far as I know it's the same direction as F-mount?)

No idea of what Nikon is doing now with their Z system bodies and lenses. Nikon lost me when they came out with their new Z system and not only were their initial and "roadmap" offerings completely lacking in what I would have wanted, the whole thing with their FTZ adapter and older, "legacy" lenses meant that many of my F-mount lenses were not going to perform in the way that I needed.

In late November of 2019 I said goodbye to Nikon and moved to Sony, and that was that....

Welcome to the forum Charles and congrats on the new a7 IV. It looks like this camera is tempting a few more over from Nikon! Glad to hear that you are enjoying it so far :)
