Ok so while driving to Southampton in June to board a cruise ship we began to drive into black storm clouds and areas of flat white low cloud. I spotted a red kite that had been forced down below the black clouds, I heard the wife say dont even think of stopping we are going to be late! well I have never seen a red kite so I pulled over saying 5 minutes only, grabbed the camera a9 ok lens zeiss 24-70mm f4 or 70-200 f4, well to hell with it 70-200 it is. Well 200mm is not much reach add to that flat white background and I am in trouble! so here are 2 average shots quite flat so sorry for that

I hate it when people don’t keep their promises 😊

Nice images Gary,
wouldn't worry so much about the white skies.....its the UK and white patchy skies are a blessing....
could have been worse if you had hit the black patches,

Nevertheless the images are sharp enough given the conditions and lens choices you had available to you..........(y)
