Sony A7R V How weather resistant is the grip?

How weather-resistant is the VG-C4EM grip on the a7R V?

I’m used to shooting with Pentax gear, where the weather-sealing has never failed me. Are there extra precautions I should take in the Seattle rain? How about dusty environments like Burning Man?

I started wondering after hearing about ‘grip gap’, including folks sending their grip to Sony to be sanded down more, still leaving a gap of a few mm. I’ve seen “weather-resistance” tests of a7 bodies, but haven’t heard of any reports of the grip holding up in extreme weather conditions.
