Former Canon photographer.
I got fed up with Canon's lousy low light performance inside cathedrals in Europe a few years back.
Walked into a camera shop in Nuremberg and traded what Canon gear I had in on a Sony A7III and a couple of lenses.
I already had a Nex-7 which I still like, but gave it to my daughter and traded the A7III in for an A7 RIVa.
My only regret is that the RIV seems to be a red headed stepchild which Sony refuses to update.
Slowly getting my lens collection back into shape while avoiding excesses like I had with the Canon.
My latest was a Sigma 14-24 f2.8 for those extra wide shots the 16-35 couldn't get. I wish I could have afforded the Sony 12-24 but - ouch!
Formerly I was what I'd call a semi-pro shooting weddings, Team Sports, Headshots, and the occasional artistic production such as operas.
Getting close to retirement and primarily shoot landscape and travel photography these days.
