Gear Acquisition Syndrome- ones tendency to buy new cam equipment when their current equipment works fine. Perhaps some day there will be a "GAS Anonymous" group in the 12-step program to combat this addiction.

You are correct about BIF.

GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome. A disease that has no cure.

Like Kev says, there is no cure for GAS unfortunately. Purchasing new shiny gear only relieves it for a little while, it soon comes back with a vengeance!
