With the first snow in over 2 years provided an opportunity for some icicles with plants. Because of the lack of snow this was also my first chance to see what actually gets covered in ice. A couple difficult things in capturing these were 1) tilty screen suck and I can't wait till I have one of those nice twisty screens and 2) finding a decent background without creeping people out.

That frozen rose pic is really something. Nice catch.
 
I really wish that was in a better location. I'd love to try and see what I could get with the 50mm macro or even my 17-24mm but I just can't get myself to attempt that. You can't tell from that photo but it is right under a living room window and though I know the people it doesn't feel right.
