I just started using filters in some of my landscape photography. Because I wasn't using a lens hood (the factory hood was not compatible with the filters) i was getting a lot of lens/sun flare.

Are there lens hoods compatible with polarizing filters, etc? Just like most people, I bought oversized filters to be used with multiple lens diameters to be more economically feasible for all my lenses/gear. So, not only would the lens hood need to be compatible with a screw on polarizing filter but also be compatible with a step up adapter. I've searched the internet but can't seem to find anything. Maybe I don't know what I'm asking or what to search for. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Put your hand up to block the flare but keep it out of frame but won't work if sun is in frame. You may have to take a few shots and blend them in your editor.

What about a matte box? Or would that still require use of the lens' threads for mounting?

What lens and filters are you using?

Unfortunately, dedicated lenshoods, which have been available with most lenses for the last 20 years or so, are really only compatible with one thin filter the size of the lens screw diameter.
