I have been visiting a fellow member and friend from the School of Photography , as I made my way back to my campervan last night I saw the milky way and the Altair star the brightest in the constellation of Aquila, I then set about to place it in-between the conifers at the back of her garden.

Cheers, it was the a7iv and the 24-50mm at ISO 1600, 33mm, f2.8 at 20 seconds

I was born in 1952 and grew up in Warwickshire. It was a rural location, not even having street lights, but Birmingham can't have been much more than about 20 miles away. I remember The Milky Way as being, on clear night, just that: it looked like a milky streak across the sky. Of course, took it for granted at the time, because it just was...
