Hi everyone,

Something that I've been wanting to get setup for a while now are monthly competitions, I just wasn't sure about the best way of doing this until now.

Well, I'm still not sure if this format will work well or not but I thought we could give it a trial run over the next few days before starting properly next month.

I would like to giveaway a very small prize (under $100) to the winner, therefore I'm going to be limiting these competitions to pro members only, as this will hopefully help to fund the prizes!

No prize for this trial run though I'm afraid!

Competition Dates
This competition will start on the published date of this post and will end on November 30th at 10am Eastern Time which is 3pm GMT. After this time no more entries will be accepted and voting disabled, the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.

How to Enter + Rules
  1. Simply post your entry as a reply to this post
  2. Only one photo entry per member
  3. You can't change your photo entry once submitted
  4. Keep the photos clean and family friendly, no nudes please apart from wildlife!
  5. Sony cameras only
  6. Please only post your image entires in this thread, anything else will be removed to keep the thread clean and easy to view
How to Vote
  1. Vote on photos that you like
  2. You can vote as soon as the competition begins
  3. Use the vote button (up arrow) to the right of the post (below post on mobile) to vote up images that you like, you can't down vote images.
  4. You can vote on as many images as you like apart from your own
For future competitions I might experiment with only opening the voting after a certain date and also limiting votes to something like 5 per member, but I'll see how this format works first.

Feedback
I'd really appreciate feedback about how the competition is running but please don't post it in this thread. Instead please post any feedback in this thread in the Feedback Forum.

Thank you for participating and good luck! :)

Tim

Sounds cool Tim. I like the idea. Here's a tester image for you. Hare at Elmley from last weekend.

Hi, Tim sounds like a good idea . I know this might be a bit more work for you but to encourage people to participate how about Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced. And try to get a forum club arrangement there are some cracking photos being posted throughout your sites and some might think I've no chance anyway just a thought 🙏

Looks like this great shot won you this trial competition Malcolm! Yes I know there weren't many entries but I wouldn't be surprised if you still scooped the top spot with more entries! :) Although I like the idea of a beginner, intermediate and advanced comp I think it might be difficult to define who goes into which category and what stops more seasoned shooters from trying to win in the beginners comp. Also as I'd like to give away a prize I can't afford to do that for 3 competitions right now unfortunately :( But I'll have a think about this so thanks for suggesting!
