As alluded to in my previous thread ( https://www.alphashooters.com/community/threads/photography-on-cruises.7771/ ) I went on my first cruise ever a few weeks ago. What I didn't realize was that it really wasn't the best time for my camera; the cellphone snaps reigned supreme and my go-pro did the majority of the work on the shore excursion to the private island. My wife paid for the photography package, so the cruise photographers got our pictures with the Disney characters and princesses without me carrying around my a6400. Perhaps if the next cruise is more destination-centric, the camera will get more exercise LOL. Anyways, here are a few snaps of the ship and things that caught my eye when I got a chance to wander solo with my camera.

Nice Chris I have never done the Disney ships , one reason being I guess I sort of thought it might be a bit in your face and kid driven, I would like your thinking on this? I know you have a little one so may be that is ideal for you guys :)

It is A LOT of Disney up in your face, however there is something for everyone at any age group and there is daycare for the little ones so you can sneak in a little time for an adult meal or spa time. I even did a wine tasting with the Mrs on night #2 and on night #3 I did a solo whisky tasting hosted by my favorite bartender aboard.

Talking of drinking whisky, my son and girl friend were on a NCL ship in August and were drinking with some well heeled Americans and it was the ladies birthday, before long she was well under the influence and ordered them 2 tiny shots delivered by a waiter with white gloves and he made a speech and gave them each a certificate, and the cost was 600 US for the 2 shots courtesy of the lady who did not recall them the next day but her Husband did

Last set of pics. Interior shots of the Atrium and ceiling fixture:

looks like a special occasion? nice set Chris
Thanks Gary. The ship was decorated for Christmas, so there were various themed activities. I gather there were two weddings on board, of which I only witnessed one, and it was a nice bonus shot as I was out for a noon stroll while the kid was napping.
