Bit hard to tell the size but smaller than our honeybees and darker colouring. That looks like our Honey Bee. Nice shot.
According to google lens it’s a leaf cutter bee which is smaller and darker in colour than a honey bee.Bit hard to tell the size but smaller than our honeybees and darker colouring.

This is a hover fly….. as you say a hover fly has stubby antenna but on Slug’s first photo they are much longer than a hover fly…That is not a bee, it is a hoverfly. Bees have two pairs of wings and quite long antennae on top of the head. Hoverflies have one pair of wings with small stubby antennae in the middle of the face.
I recon you're right, I've grabbed the wrong pic from my files. I have quite a few pics of bees and hoverflies.Slug's first photo is a bee, only the second is a hoverfly.
