News New Firmware Update for A7RV.

I just got an email from Sony Australia letting me know there is an A7RV firmware update available. Doesn’t look like anything relevant to me but I always wait at least a week or two before I install anything like that.

This is going to upset the people who love to complain about Sony's lack of firmware updates.

But take heart, at least they can complain that it doesn't include something that think it absolutely should have contained. I can't think of an example, though.

Interesting, looks like this is just the first camera to get the new features (especially better communications with apps on phones and tablets) - supposed to be coming to other cameras next month: A1, A9III, A7IV, and more.

Looks Sony is getting more into firmware updates - this will be the second bug wave of updates this year.

Heads up for anyone who has download this but not updated yet, Sony have pulled this update.

That makes two firmware updates that Sony has had to pull this year. I bet their firmware teams will be doing a bit more testing of the next updates...

Yep Sony are slow it usually takes them a week or so to work out they messed up again you would think they might learn at some point?

good idea as some have been bricked by the update and sony has pulled the firmware update off the websites
