I've just added a new custom profile URL feature to the forum for pro members.
Because of how the forum software works, profile URL's are pretty long and ugly.
This is how the default link to my member profile currently looks:
https://www.alphashooters.com/community/members/timothy.mayo.1/
With this new feature my profile URL is now also accessible via:
https://www.alphashooters.com/community/tim/
Ideally alphashooters.com/tim would be better still than alphashooters.com/community/tim/. However, this is unfortunately not possible at this time since the forum software is installed in the /community sub-folder.
How to Add a Custom Profile URL
1. Select Custom Profile URL from your accounts tab:
2. Click 'Add custom profile URL'
3. Add your custom profile URL and click save. It won't be accepted if the name already exists or it matches other excluded names.
And that's it. Short names like Tim or Bob will obviously be limited and this will work on a first come first served basis.
Please let me know if you have any troubles setting this up.
