I have changed my A9 for a A9ii but have found some odd behaviour. I set the ISO settings to auto iso and the range 200-6400 but the camera when conditions are dull goes to 12800. The A9 didn't do that, am I missing something?

There are two places where you can set the ISO range, one for Manual ISO and the other for Auto ISO.

Manual: MENU → (Camera Settings1) → [ISO Setting] → [ISO Range Limit]
Auto ISO: MENU → (Camera Settings1) → [ISO Setting] → [ISO] → [ISO AUTO]

If you only set the limits for Manual ISO then when you are using Auto ISO these won't work and vice versa.

That may or may not be it :)

I’ve done both of those Tim as I did on the A9. I tried reducing the high end down too 3200 and it still goes up too 12800. Strange!

Hi Iain, it does seem strange have you got some exp comp dialed in? is the camera new to you? maybe a full reset and start again

It is new, I’ll try a full reset and see where that leads and post the results.

Must have been some setting somewhere as a reset has work as the auto iso dose what you ask it to do now.

Good result then its easy to miss or change something and hard to sort out
When I buy a secondhand camera I usually do a factory reset but didn’t this time and with Sony menus it could have been hidden somewhere.
