Did you know that there are two golden pineapples on the top of St Paul's cathedral London, one atop each of the western towers? The pineapple is the symbol of welcome, friendship, generosity and prosperity. Pineapples have a long history as a decorative and symbolic element in architecture, particularly during the Georgian and Victorian eras.
