Yesterday I went to Bempton and saw the black browed albatross, rarely seen in the northern hemisphere, and I was chuffed that I'd seen it (abeit not moving) sat on the cliff.

Today I returned and spent six hours without seeing it at all.

Then it decided to put on an airshow....

Brilliant shots, did you get the Short eared owl as well.
Yes, there were two hunting in the fields adjacent to the car park but I was already on the way to the albatross and sadly they were a long way off...

As I looked at the 1st picture I thought "Man, look at that wing span", then I thought, "Dude, your Speed Brakes are deployed!".

Funny you should say that. Last night I was looking through some other shots and on some tigher turns it appears to drop the inside leg which will no doubt aid the turn... 😀
