Hey y'all, has anyone ever used one of those rubber lens hoods that sell online which supposedly allow you to take better pictures through windows/glass? I think the premise seems legit: make a seal to block unwanted glare/reflections and it should allow better pictures and or video.

I have a trip coming up soon and I'm thinking to get one so I can take better video clips through airplane window and any other miscellaneous times it might be useful. Has anyone tried one and do you have any tips?

Good idea if it works. Also, the new G-Master lenses seem to come with a lens hood having a rubberized hood lip on the front, which might serve the same purpose.

This seems to be the original:

Amazon has a no-name-brand copy for $8 cheaper, and so does Neewer. I think I might make a purchase and report back to the group.
