I've never shot a time-lapse on my a6400. I have always had a go-pro and it is fairly easy to do on that device, so I have yet to experiment on the Sony. Thinking to play around with S&Q mode with either a sunset or sunrise this weekend just to try it out. Does anyone have any experience using this mode? Is it as simple as picking 2 second intervals on S&Q settings and then clicking to start and stop?

This was a decent explanation of the process:

Doesn't look too hard, which is a good thing. I am trying to keep things simple and reduce my dependence on post production for interesting video clips like this.

Thanks for the link. It sounds like there's more than one way to shoot time lapse with Sony. I only have experience with shooting 30p and speeding up rate/duration in post.
