Birds Short Eared Owl

The piercing eyes of a these magnificent birds never fail to mesemerise me whenever I see them looking down the camera lens, The backlighting of the setting sun provided a nice backdrop but sadly I have not seen too many about this winter so far .

Superb. We've got 3 locally but I haven't got clos shots as yet really, mainly because of pressure from other "photographers".
