Sigma 16mm F/1.4 - Firmware update

I just noticed that the Sigma 16mm F1.4 has a firmware update to version 2

2020.11.19 - Improved operability during manual focus.

Since I use this lens at night for astrophotography, I figured updating it would be a good idea. The manual focus seems to be a little smoother now too.

How does one update a lens software?

I never did get around to updating the firmware on the lens. Going to do it now, and the link I found which has instructions is as follows:
