Sigma has announced their latest 35mm F1.4 DG DN Art lens designed for both Sony E-mount and Sigma’s L-mount. The Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG DN lens is already available to pre-order for $899.00 in the US and £749.00 in the UK. The lens should start shipping from May 14th, 2021.

I wonder if there will be any discounts on the Sony 35GM now that the Sigma is available for $500 less. I know the GM is still practically new but that price difference is hard to justify. I do prefer the Sony but wish they knock a bit off the price. I'm guessing Sigma will have to cut into their sales before they change it up.

I doubt we'll see any price reduction on the 35mm GM for quite some time unfortunately, and when we do Sony are not known for knocking large amounts of their lenses, you might see $100 off at some point.
