Looking to buy ether 16mm , 30mm or 56mm 1.4 but can't decide which one , I have 18-105 f4 now but feel that I need lower f stop for low light, ifea is to use it for video and for event photography, any advice would be appreciated

I just bought a 56mm Viltrox for my A6600. F1.4 is bright and sharp. Lens hood only works with very thin 52mm filter. Solid build and balances well for me. Very quiet and fast autofocus. 4 stars and a keeper for me.

I've heard and read that out of the 3, the 30mm is the weakest of them. Not sure how true that is. When I was shooting apsc I had only acquired the 16mm and 56mm before switching to full frame.

I have the Sigma 16. It is a nice wide lens and has a great minimum focusing distance. You could shoot something as close as a pair of wedding rings for a wedding shoot or as far and wide as the milky way in the night sky. The wider field of view (24mm full-frame equivalent) works good for capturing wider shots of an event. Very versatile... but... for video work, you will need to put it on a gimbal, same goes for any of those Sigma lenses.

I would love to have the 56mm, I hear it's the bee's knees for portraits, but I don't shoot a lot of those.
