some long over due edits all with a99ii and Minolta 400 4.5 1982 lens shots done 2019 for evaluation of lens

All shots were to evaluate lens all shots uncompressed raw and with shutter speeds as low as 1/50 second! and all shots were under exposed to see what could be recovered in editing latter, all hand held shots although I was wedged against a wooden post. Let me know what you think about the images

I guess I don't need to say that these shots are pretty damn good. How large and heavy is this lens compared to some current lenses?
 
Really nice shots. Since I can see the exif, I am assuming this is an A-Mount lens? The only A-Mount 400/4.5 I can find is the 400mm 4.5 HS APO G, which was introduced in 1995.

a-mount yes its just that capture 1 does not have a profile in the list for the lens .

It is a gem its 1.9kg and really not an issue to handle

Hi just checked and you are right release year 1995 I had never looked at year of the lens, as you know they mark the better lenses on mount ring Gary
