A few random subjects from outings and my garden and moth trapping. ID on each as ever.
Swallowtail Butterfly. It's been a very poor year for this species, thanks to a long drought at the end of last year.
Cockchafer Beetle (from the moth trap)
Yellow-Bowed Smoothwing Hoverfly
Common Tern with his eye on his next fish
Egyptian Goose. Zoom in, he has an arachnid passenger on his head. Got to love that resolution.
Drinker Moth Caterpillar. Even at f20 I'm losing the far extremities, hence the ARV being on radar.
Giant Silver Diving Beetle. Scared the crap out of the wife when it got out of the moth trap, where it shouldn't have been. Our biggest beetle at near 3 inches long. It made a hell of a thud against the window
Summer Chafer Beetle. Another trap invader. Hairy bastard.
Large Skipper
Pond Skaters in cop. Look how the male is holding her
Black Tailed Skimmer
