Has anyone used this lens? I have read some very good reviews when used with the A7R4 and the A9 series, but would like to hear off forum members experiences if possible.

Yes I have heard good things about the 70-200 f/2.8 but I intend buying the Sony 100-400 next month and reckon I wouldn't use a 70-200 that much. Still keen on the 24-70 though but may consider the 24-105, don't know for sure yet. When I bought my a7 iii I got the FE 3.5-5.6/27-70 (SEL2870). I never got "tack sharp" images with this camera even after two significant repair/replacements under warranty. A few weeks ago I bought the SEL2470GM. This is a very nice lens. It made a big difference especially in low light i.e. the 2.8 helps a lot... I also bought a FE 3.5-6.3/24-240 (SEL24240) with the camera and used it for just over one year, also not very sharp. 2 weeks ago I rented a FE 70-200 2.8 GM (SEL70200GM). Wow!! What a nice lens. I compared it shot for shot with the SEL24240 and they are in different leagues. Depending on your uses and expectations the (verrrrrry expensive) GM lenses are worth buying. I am now saving up for the SEL70200 and dumping the 2 cheaper lenses.
What I have read makes the 24-105 seem like it is better optically than the 24-70 but I haven't shot them to compare.Yes I have heard good things about the 70-200 f/2.8 but I intend buying the Sony 100-400 next month and reckon I wouldn't use a 70-200 that much. How they do that, it's great! The constant 2.8 and the GM in the SEL2870GM is very nice to have...
