Sony FE 50 F1.4 GM Lens Announced

Just in-case you were concerned by the lack of 50mm lenses for the Sony E-mount system, Sony has just announced a new FE 50 F1.4 GM lens.

The lens should be available from late April or early May 2023 for a recommended retail price of $1299 in the US, £1,499.00 in the UK or €1,700 in Europe.

That's good for those who want and need a less expensive prime than the wonderful 50mm f/1.2.

great lens would love a decent 50mm but £1500 is a stretch to much even for a gm lens ,those samyang lenses are looking ever so more appealing for a third the price and less weight for a focal length i do not use all that often.Even if it was priced a £1000 i would still be doubting the cost ,anyway good to know there will not be anymore 50mm lenses coming soon , oh hold on did sigma just release a 50mm f2 guess that will be next.
