Hi all, new Sony a7iv after 50 YEARS WITH NIKON!
Only major disappointment is lack of detailed info about setup, Sony manual too limited.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance
Joelb

Welcome to the Forum Joel. You're in a good place, lots of nice, knowledgeable people here. To get on a fast track, I would recommend trying this Gentleman out. Become a Patreon and start out by downloading the 3rd Edition of his 530 page A7 IV eBook. It's a keeper, and that's just the beginning.

Thanks for the info but his books are on the a7Riv and not the a7iv does that matter? Thanks Joel

Of course it would matter. He is in his 3rd revision for the A7 IV which is dated December 2021. These downloads are restricted to his Patreon Members as he makes his living doing this type of work. The latest revision is 530 pages. During the last 2 weeks, he has also created 26 videos devoted to the Menus of the A1 and the A7 IV. Another reason why I plan to continue my membership. These documents barely touch the surface of all of the downloadable information available on his site. Where did you find the A7 RIV eBook?

Jeff many thanks I have joined Patreon and what a change as you suggested.
Best wishes Joel

Excellent! Did you find your A74 eBook? Is that a beautiful work or not?

Great and videos as well. Slowly getting into it. Attached image of Eastern grey Kangaroo in our yard of holiday home.
Shot with 100-400 hand held and animal eye setting. Thanks again for the help
