I think I agree, because the second one, although perhaps more logical for a bowsprit, makes the mast look sideways.

I'm a bit confused by the composition. If you hadn't already told me what it is, I wonder how long I'd have taken to realise. A little bit of bow to go with the sprit would have made all clear. Unless you were trying to be a bit cryptic!

Yes, I angled it so that it was hard to tell what it was, I wanted it to blend with the main masts.
