I always enjoy the variety of shots I can get at a Track Meet. I took my 70-200 and 100-400 lenses.

Great shots! Especially the Javelin!

Great shots! Especially the Javelin!
Thanks! This was the first time I've shot Javelin. In the past it has been one of the last events and I didn't stay to the end. It was earlier in this meet. The biggest problem I have in shooting track meets is that there is a lot of waiting around on some events and many events going on in a spread out area. It would be much better to have multiple folks shooting.

Excellent shots

I shot another track and field meet yesterday and was reminded how tiring it is. I think I ended up getting 9000 or so steps in during the meet. Here are some favorite shots. I took over 1800 shots so I shot jpg and was happy with the results. There were a few really low light photos that I might have improved if I had shot RAW.

Shot put. There was very little light in this area by this time in the meet. This is just using the noise reduction of the a7RV.
