This is the view from Bowman's Hill Tower in New Hope PA.

This is the view SE. Just around the corner of the river on the left side is Washington's Crossing which is where George crossed the Delaware River during the US revolution. Yes all the artwork of that event does greatly exaggerate the size of the river.
