I've just picked up a 28-60mm retractable, which can be the WR lens at need and pair with my Pentax 70/85/135 primes. It would be really nice to have a similar compact, 'slow' telephoto in the 70-200mm range, WR & perhaps retractable in a similar fashion. Has Sony ever posted plans for such a thing? Sure the 70-180 is a fine option, but I won't need the speed for what I do. The Tam 70-300 is compact for an xx-300 but for my uses 200mm is sufficient and a fair bit smaller; when I need 300 the smaller lens via aps-C crop would be a fair trade. My old Minolta 70-210 f/3.5-4.5 would be a great candidate with a couple of updates.. that formula should be in the Sony archives, right?
