This little cheeky bird is a favourite of mine to capture and post.
They play with cats as in sit in front of them and challenge them, but they are never caught.
But there is a saying with them in our parts which goes like this,
If you see a Willy Wagtail follow it as they are normally with other types of birds.
And there is one which goes something like this but it is not word for word.
If you follow a Willy Wagtail beware as it will lead you to your death.
Which sort of means if you follow it you will follow it to a point where you no longer know where you are.
Both to me sound right but I like the 1st as I don't go too far.
