Your Photo of the Week

I have a A9111 and I'm enjoying the pre capture experience.

Amazing you managed to get another four stonechats in the shot 😂

Great tit

Not such a great image but im trying to take some bird photos, starting with non BIF. I dont know if i should tell this, but i also took this picture through a dirty window
Taking pictures of (bird family name) through dirty windows sounds about right.

It's been a warm and dry winter in Barcelona until this week that the cold and the rain suddenly arrived. But also this week the first flowers popped out. I'm no expert at photographing flowers but I thought about giving it a try.

Probably my favorite photo shot this week..... In my condominium apartment community we are now having all of our balconies replaced, and it's been interesting watching what's happening in the buildings at the foot of the lake. The other day I watched from my own balcony and fired off a few shots, especially when I realized that there was a little furry supervisor also viewing the progress being made......

My daughter, celebrating Spring at a school event.
Sorry, yes, over exposed but didn't want to bother lifting shadows on her face with this SOOC JPG.

So many concerts, so many photos. Many of them in the same venue. Sometimes I think I photograph the same things over and over again, the same people with different faces!

Tonight I looked for a subtle difference, standing in the slightly different place, relating the violinist and singer slightly different. I think they're my photos of the week :)

Wall from Sant Felip Neri square in Barcelona. Its surface was damaged by a bomb during the Civil War (btw, "ira" is the Spanish word for "wrath").

Street leading to Sant Felip Neri square, one of my favourite corners in Barcelona. I had to be quick before the person was gone so I couldn't check the settings. Luckily the noise is not that bad.

This is the first photo from my few days away down the coast last week. Finally got to give the A7R5 a bit of a workout, experiment with some settings & generally have a bit of a play. This is sunset at Normanville Beach (where we were staying) last Tuesday evening. It was quite windy so the sea is quite choppy.

Hopefully will be putting a few more images up on here over the next few days, finally...

Beautiful.

Can you post it so we can see it a bit bigger?

Thanks Thad. If you click on the title of the photo it will open in full size in my album.

<-- Kitten
A stare you wouldn't want to see in the wild
Oh my god. My "Kitten" (she's six, but the name stuck) looks at me like that often. Usually when I'm not doing stuff she wanted instantly. Perhaps I should be more scared.

Dusk hour at Yamashina Canal, Kyoto. Cherry blossoms season is blooming right now and here there were some rapeseed flowers as well.

That's a great shot! Intriguing, looks like B&W with a single color, but not.

Indeed, some of the shots I'm taking are like that, they seem B&W but they are not. Also they do look like a snow scene but it's flowers. Fun and evocative.

Kubu, Sumatran Tiger at Thrigby. Not having lots of spare time to get out, the local zoo is proving a welcome choice at the moment. This is easily my best shot of this boy so far.
